LAQUUS - MONTY ROBERTS CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS ITALIA


Laquus are a team of exceptional Certified Instructors who practise the non violent training philosophies and techniques of Monty Roberts. They have completed an extensive certification and study process during which they worked with various horsetrainers, Monty Roberts Instructors and Monty Roberts himself in various locations around the world. They now focus on starting young horses, training horses with remedial issues, teaching the Monty Roberts techniques to others and helping Monty achieve his goal of making the world a better place for horses.

At the beginning of August 2009 Christiane and Gabriel received from Monty their Instructor licence while at Flag Is Up Farms.

Laquus uses the language of horses (Language of Equus) to motivate the horse to do something only because he wants to and not because he is forced to. Laquus dedicates itself to work closely with horse people, to optimise the relationship and communication between humans and horses, and to raise potential by gaining the horses trust.

The MONTY ROBERTS CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS Italy is dedicated to promoting gentle, more effective alternatives to violence and force that are commonplace around the world. Our focus is to help enhance the relations between humans and horses based upon communication and trust.

The curriculum of Laquus is based on the techniques of Monty Roberts. Monty Roberts “The Man Who Listens To Horses” is known for his method of communicating with horses using their own language, which he calls “Equus”. Monty incorporates “Equus” into his non-violent training approach called Join-Up®. Join-Up® methods rely on horse and trainer establishing a bond of communication and trust.

The MONTY ROBERTS CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS Italy is unique from other training facilities with the primary focus of our curriculum being on equine psychology and behaviour rather then riding skills. Students develop a solid understanding of what motivates and influences equine behaviour in order to increase their effectiveness in the application of their choice: with any discipline of riding, be it training, veterinary assistance, shoeing, racehorse training - the list goes on. Virtually anyone handling horses can use these methods to increase their effectiveness in helping horses fulfil their potential.
We are also able to prepare students for the Advanced Course which is only held directly at the Monty Roberts International Certified Instructors at Flag Is Up Farms in California.
